As many of our members already know, Amanda Brittain took over the helm of BCFWA in 2025 after serving as our vice president for several years, and has returned this year to steer our organization for another year.
For those of you who are new to BCFWA, Amanda is an award-winning communicator with more than 25 years’ experience providing communications services for a variety of industries and organizations. She has her Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) and Strategic Communications Management Professional (SCMP) designations from the International Association of Business Communicators. And while Amanda has worked in a variety of sectors, for the past decade she has focused on the agriculture sector, specifically animal agriculture – especially poultry.
Amanda is now branching out into other areas of agriculture and loving every minute of it. She recently opened her own consultancy business and particularly enjoys training farmers to be spokespeople. She also provides services such as strategic communications planning, special event management, crisis management, media relations, and any type of writing an organization needs.
Amanda is always eager to hear from our members. If you have any comments, ideas, updates or (hopefully) a burning need to join one of our committees, please drop her a line. BCFWA members are also welcome to attend our monthly board meetings and meet Amanda as well as the rest of the board in person.
